Killington Parks and Recreation has numerous open positions for the 2024 summer camp season & at the Johnson Recreational pool. Open positions include Camp Director, Counselors, lifeguards, and Activity Specialists. For more information, view the job descriptions below.

Camp Director Position
Killington Parks and Recreation is seeking a Camp Director for the 2024 summer camp season. The Camp Director will report to the Recreation Director to create and execute a successful camp experience for summer campers attending Killington Parks and Recreation Summer Camps. Counselors and Activity Specialists will report directly to the Camp Director. The Camp Director will manage certain administrative tasks allowing for a streamlined camp experience.
 
This position requires approximately half of the day on administrative tasks, and half of the day with campers and counselors. The Camp Director can use creativity to shape the overall camp experience for children if so desired! This is an exciting and dynamic position.

Camp Counselor Position
Killington Parks and Recreation is seeking summer camp counselors for the 2024 summer camp season. Camp Loads of Fun is seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as “Head Counselors” or “Summer Camp Counselors”. These positions play a vital role in crafting a positive, safe, and engaging experience for campers throughout the summer program. Located at the Herbert I. Johnson Recreation Center, Camp Loads of Fun offers a dynamic outdoor day camp experience with a variety of activities and enriching opportunities.

This position requires counselors to be outside and active for up to 8 hours a day. Counselors must be at least 14 years of age and be able to pass a Vermont Background Check. Full and part-time position are available.

Summer Camp Activity Specalists
Camp Loads of Fun is seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as “Activity Specialists”. These positions play a vital role in crafting a positive, safe, and engaging experience for campers throughout the summer program and providing a diverse selection of enrichment activities for campers. Located at the Herbert I. Johnson Recreation Center, Killington Parks and Recreation Summer Camps offers a dynamic outdoor day camp experience with a variety of activities and enriching opportunities.

This is a part-time position (~24 hours/ week) that can be paired with counselor responsibilities to be a full-time position.

Life Guarding Position
Killington Parks and Recreation are seeking lifeguards for the 2024 summer season. Work alongside a great staff, become a role model to the Town of Killington, while enjoying outdoors.

Your main priority is the overall safety for everyone who swims at the Johnson Recreational Pool. This position requires applicants who are responsible, have public speaking skills, and willing to work on weekends.
